Market Summary for the Day: 19/11/2013


 Sensex and Nifty rose for a third consecutive session to their highest closing levels in nearly
two weeks, as a rally in debt markets boosted banks, the biggest holders of bonds, while sentiment
remained underpinned by global factors.
 The prospect of extended stimulus in the United States and signs of ambitious reforms in China
have spurred a rally this week in Asian shares.
 The rupee strength supported equity markets which traded near the 62/$ level with the RBI’s
ongoing bonds purchase worth Rs 8,000 crore this week under the open market operations (OMO)
to inject liquidity in the system.
 FIIs continue to pump money into Indian equities by way of huge purchases from the Indian equity
markets. Sensex rose for the third day on the trot driven by gains in realty and capital goods
stocks.
 Also, PMEAC Chairman C Rangarajan stated that country’s current account deficit (CAD) will be
contained well below the targeted limit.
 Front lines stocks from A group of BSE like Bata, Bharat forge, Infosys, JSW Steel, MRF and Tech
Mahindra continue to make new 52 week high today during intraday trades.
 The Market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was strong.

 Major Losers on Nifty: BPCL, SESAGOA, POWER GRID, HDFC BANK, COAL INDIA

Global Markets Updates:
 European shares eased on Tuesday, with caution on stocks from U.S. billionaire investor Carl Icahn
and a retreat on Wall Street overnight encouraging profit-taking after a rally that took Germany's DAX
to a record high.
 Both DOW and NASDAQ futures were trading negative at this evening with both indices were in Red.
TECHNICAL PRESENTATION OF NIFTY MOVEMENT DURING THE DAY
 RSI was at 57, MACD positive below signal line; India VIX was at 19~ which all Indicate that market may
consolidate here and make bottom formation.
 Today, Nifty closed above its entire MA of 5DMA (6091), 20DMA (6175) but still trading above 50DMA (6026)

and 200DMA (5864) which all indicate that market still bullish in medium to long term.

Markets closed in Positive terrain with most of sectors closing in GREEN. But, BSE REALTY was the

BEST performing Sector today
